More About Us

Danielle completed her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at Lakehead University. Shortly after graduating she was introduced to Pilates. However, it wasn’t until after the birth of her son that she realized just how beneficial Pilates was going to be. She had developed an SI joint dysfunction and was referred for Therapeutic Pilates. She quickly realized that Pilates was not only a great option for overall strengthening, but also an effective form of exercise when recovering from injury and for injury prevention. After this experience, she knew Pilates was going to be part of her life’s journey and wanted to share this passion with others.

As a Kinesiologist, Danielle specializes in human movement, performance and function. By incorporating the sciences of biomechanics, anatomy and physiology, she will design a Pilates program specific to your goals while keeping in mind your body type and physical limitations. As a former dancer and personal trainer, she has watched the health and fitness industry evolve and understands the importance of keeping up-to-date on research in the areas of human movement, rehabilitation and Pilates.

She is committed to providing you with high-quality service and has a genuine desire to see you succeed in all areas of your life. During her many years of teaching, she has had the privilege of working with people of all ages, populations, and abilities from the Pilates beginner to competitive athletes. She has helped with issues such as, but not limited to, managing chronic pain; injury recovery and prevention; post-surgery rehabilitation; managing fibromyalgia; osteoporosis management and prevention; pelvic floor dysfunction and improving mobility, core strength and balance for clients with Multiple Sclerosis.

Whether you’re training for a sporting event, wanting to improve your quality of life as you age or just looking for a place to start your health and wellness journey, Superior Pilates can help you achieve your goals and give you the confidence to do what you want to do!
