Superior Pilates is a clean, comfortable and easily accessible Pilates studio centrally located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. All of our equipment is commercial grade and inspected regularly for your safety. Superior Pilates offers in-studio private, semi-private and trio group training.

Schedule your free consultation. After we receive your intake form, a team member will reach out to schedule a one-on-one consultation with an instructor.

Let’s get started! After the consultation, a fitness plan is designed according to your needs and goals. Regardless of which training type you choose, we work as a team supporting and encouraging you every step of the way.

Private Training

Private training offers you one-on-one personalized attention and feedback. Programming is customized to your unique needs, goals, physical limitations and initial fitness level. Instructors focus on technique and precision of movement, so the exercises are effective and safe for your body. Flexible scheduling is convenient and allows the client to progress at their own pace. Private sessions are available to anyone; however, they are strongly recommended for individuals with significant physical limitations, part of post-surgical care, anyone who has a fear of injury/re-injury with movement, for clients who are new to Pilates or for high fitness level clients who might not feel challenged enough in a class.

Semi-Private training

Semi-private training consists of two people in the session and offer many of the same benefits as private training plus the added bonus of camaraderie and accountability. The investment is more affordable, and scheduling is fairly flexible. When choosing a partner, it is recommended both clients have similar goals and starting fitness levels.

Therapeutic Pilates

Therapeutic Pilates is ideal for individuals who require extra care in their programming. Whether you are actively receiving physical therapy for an injury or are in the recovery phase, we work collaboratively with your healthcare professionals to help you heal. We will focus on regaining strength, mobility, functional movement and confidence. Services from a Registered Kinesiologist are available. Check your extended health plan for coverage.

Trio Group Training

Trio group training has three participants per class. Exercising with fellow Pilates enthusiasts creates a supportive atmosphere and a sense of belonging among like-minded individuals. Trio classes tend to be more budget-friendly when compared to private and semi-private training. This option is perfect for anyone seeking regular exercise with a lower financial investment. Due to the small group size, individual attention is possible. Clients still benefit from professional instruction and expert guidance.
